Our Vision
A fully integrated waste-to-resource ecosystem that eliminates dumping, maximises material recovery, and produces clean energy for Tanzania's future.
Vision Statement
"To create Tanzania's first large-scale, fully integrated waste-to-resource ecosystem — eliminating uncontrolled dumping, maximising material recovery, producing clean energy to power industries and homes, catalysing green industrial development, and enhancing livelihoods across Dar es Salaam."
Mission
To develop, finance, build, and operate the Dar es Salaam Integrated Waste Facility as a commercially sustainable, DFI-bankable PPP — delivering measurable environmental, social, and economic returns to the city, its five municipalities, and all project stakeholders over a 25-year concession period.
Five Strategic Pillars
Circular Economy Leadership
Set the continental benchmark for integrated waste-to-resource transformation in Dar es Salaam — a proven model scalable and replicable across other Tanzanian cities and African urban centres. Every design decision prioritises replicability and long-term commercial sustainability.
Clean Energy Production
Generate reliable, baseload renewable electricity from waste — displacing fossil fuels, supplying TANESCO's national grid under a long-term PPA, and powering the Eco-Industrial Park's tenants with affordable, carbon-zero energy. Energy independence from waste is the project's anchor commercial proposition.
Green Industrial Development
Anchor the Kigamboni Eco-Industrial Park as Tanzania's premier hub for circular manufacturing and low-carbon industry — creating a self-reinforcing economic loop where waste generates the energy and materials that power new industries and jobs.
Community Wellbeing & Inclusion
Deliver measurable improvements in public health, employment, and environmental quality for Dar es Salaam's 6+ million residents — with a minimum 40% local procurement commitment, gender-responsive hiring, informal waste picker integration, and ward-level service coverage across all five municipalities.
Climate Resilience & Compliance
Avoid 1.1 million tCO₂e annually and position Tanzania as a leader in climate-aligned infrastructure — through EU IED-compliant emissions, Article 6 carbon credit registration, and IFC Performance Standard governance across all SPVs.
Our Values
Transparent with government, DFIs, and communities on what we are building and how it performs.
Combining proven global technology with local operational ingenuity to solve Dar es Salaam's unique challenges.
Every decision is measured against its environmental, social, and economic outcomes — not just financial return.
